Do you know how to eat?
For years I had no idea. I thought if I tried a different diet plan every week then I was bound to find something that would work - help me achieve my health goals, and somehow turn me into this naturally healthy person that my friends were, and that I wanted to be.
What I’ve learned over my 30-odd years of attempting diets in my quest for health is that diets and food plans, no matter how balanced they look, will probably not help you to eat properly and achieve your health goals long-term. Sorry to break that news. Those health goals could be losing weight or changing your body shape like mine were. It could be that you simply want to be less tired, have more energy to run around with your kids, or it could be that you just want to feel better overall.
Is that you?
It was me. I was tired all the time. I had a foggy brain. Constructing a sentence was difficult and in my line of work as a communications and PR person, that’s bad news. To mitigate my utter feelings of general crap-ness, I could easily shovel a packet of TimTams in without a second thought and then endure the massive feeling of regret and self-loathing afterwards. The thing is, life is much too short for self-loathing, there is a better way to do life, eat what foods you like, and feel really great in your skin. I regularly wake up feeling refreshed before my alarm goes off and I’m able to bounce out of bed each day. I am living proof that this is possible and I want to share it with you.
And so on 1 December I launched my first 12-month coaching programme - “How to eat delicious food and stop feeling like shite all the time” and “How to shift your arse off the couch and exercise without feeling awful and sore the next day”.
Both of these programmes are digital, which means you’ll hear from me each day via your favourite device from the comfort of your own home. You don’t even need to put on pants if you don’t want to. (I will be wearing pants though. Let’s not make things awkward :o))
At its core, my coaching programme is for people who are confused about food and what they could be doing to feel awesome. You’ve probably tried a bunch of diets like I have, or you count calories in an app like My Fitness Pal, or you roll with an idea that some foods are bad and some are good. You might have indulged in a cheat meal that turned into a cheat week and felt gross about that.
To sum it up, this is not a lose-weight-quick programme. It’s a 12-month programme to help you adjust some habits that are no longer serving you well, so that you can feel bloody awesome, every day.
You’ll work with me one on one for a year. I’ll teach you how to eat, how to move, and how to feel bloody wonderful every day through the power and science of solidly good nutrition and achievable exercise. Read here about the last twelve months of my own journey and see if you identify with any of it.
The course opened up on 1 December, but you can join anytime in January and save 33%. This will equate to about $25 per week. I’m also offering a buy one give one deal, to try and reduce financial barriers to those who for whatever reason can’t afford my programme but really need it. I have a long list of people to give a spot too, but you’re welcome to let me know of someone specific you know in this situation.
